Invasive Weed Clean-up at Arlington Pond -2025

The Arlington Pond Protective Association (APPA) is taking an innovative approach to cleaning up the invasive weeds that threaten to choke out Arlington Pond, a recreational spot and part of the Town's drinking supply. APPA member Beverly Glynn describes the process. Aqualogics is diving under the water and hand harvesting the weeds, they are then able to suck them up through a large vacuum hose and collect them on their boat in bags. Howie Glynn, President of APPA, along with other members, was able to secure grants for this work and he urges the other lake's protective associations to do the same. This will help maintain the integrity of all the lakes in town
